More than 20 wineries will be showcased during the 18th annual Vintage Ohio Wine Festival on Friday and Saturday at Lake Metroparks Farmpark in Kirtland. The two-day festival, put on by the Ohio Wine Association and sponsored by the nationally acclaimed Adams' Reserve Cheddar, Lake County Visitors Bureau, Giant Eagle and Dollar Bank, among others, includes a presentation by Marianne Franz talking food pairings and opportunities at her Cleveland-based American Wine School.
The event showcases a wide range of activities, entertainment, and gourmet food. Several local bands — ranging from jazz to classical to soul will perform easy-listening acoustic and big stagae music over the two days.
This year also features the return of Cleveland's Fabulous Food Trucks, Jibaro, Zydoco, and Umami Moto. The American Wine Society will return with another series of wine appreciation seminars. The Western Reserve School of Cooking will provide demonstrations throughout the festival.
Tickets are on sale at www.OhioWines.org or 800-227-6972 until 5 p.m. Thursday for $25. They will be available at the gate for $30.
