The delicate crunch of a buttery pastry, the tang of a juicy ripe tomato, the smooth richness of a warm bittersweet chocolate sauce, the savory chewiness of a grilled steak . . . The Cucina is about sharing the pleasures of great food. Whether you want to bake a fragrant loaf of bread or learn how to season a sauce so it’s just right, you can learn how at The Cucina. You can sample the cuisines of Mexico or Japan or South America, or experience the food of Italy with a chef from Rome—all in our brand new, professional working kitchen.
Most of our classes are hands-on. You’ll dive in and get cooking with personalized instruction from one of our experienced chef instructors, and create a meal that you’ll sit down to enjoy with a glass of wine. Some classes will be demonstration classes, where you’ll observe a master chef at work with lots of clear explanation, generous samples of every dish, and some pretty good stories, too.

How can I register for a class?
Just click on a class title below, or go to our Class Schedule and Registration page, select the class you’re interested in, and follow the instructions.
What do I wear? Do I need to bring anything?
If you’re taking a hands-on class, dress to cook: casual and comfortable, with some low heeled, closed-toe shoes. We’ll supply the aprons and all the equipment you’ll need. In all classes, each student will receive a recipe packet with copies of all the recipes used in the class. You may want to bring a pen for taking notes.
What is your cancellation policy?
Just like a cultural or sports event, all class registrations are non-refundable and may not be applied toward another class or event. If you’re unable to attend a class you’ve registered for, you’re welcome to send someone in your place. If the Cucina has to cancel a class, you’ll receive a full refund of your fee.
Can my son/daughter take a class with me?
We welcome children 15 and older, as long as each is accompanied by an adult.
Is wine served at the culinary classes?
Your fee for our hands-on classes includes a glass of wine to enjoy with the food made in class when it is served in our tasting room. For safety reasons, we do not serve wine during the cooking portion of the class held in our professional kitchen.
