Wine Classes

At Gervasi Vineyard we love wine—from Abbraccio, our bold Cabernet Sauvignon with rich, mouth-filling flavors of black currants, cherries, and plum, to our Luce Luce, a Pinot Grigio with crisp citrus and apple flavors. We strive to make our wines among the best, and our experienced wine team is constantly learning. We also know that the more you know about wine, the more you enjoy it. Come learn with us!

Whether you’re new to wine or a long-time wine enthusiast, we have classes that will stimulate your palate and your thinking about wine. Our Enjoying Wine Series of five rotating classes begins with an introduction to wine and moves on to the essentials of tasting wine, wine and food pairing, and overviews of white and red wines.

For all who enjoy wine, we offer classes on a variety of subjects: wines to pair with holiday meals, a survey of the wines of Italy, or the great vintages of France.

All our wine tastings and classes are taught by experienced wine educators in our beautifully appointed tasting room in the Villa Grande. See our class descriptions below or take a look at our schedule and register online.
 

Frequently Asked Questions

How can I register for a class?     Just click on a class title below, or go to our Class Schedule and Registration page and select the class you’re interested in, and follow the instructions. (Please note that you must be at least 21 years old to register for a wine class.)

Do the wine classes include tasting?     Of course—we believe that tasting wines is fundamental learning about them.

Will Gervasi wines be the only ones served?     No—we ’re very proud of our wines, but there’s a whole world of great wine to be explored, and our wine classes will do just that.

What is your cancellation policy?     All class registrations are non-refundable, just like a cultural or sports event. If you’re unable to attend a class you’ve registered for, you’re welcome to send someone in your place. If the Cucina has to cancel a class, you’ll receive a full refund of your fee.
